Traders Vs Growers:
Traders Vs Growers:
Growers are hard workers.
They usually have very less tendency to speculate as compared to traders.Traders may manipulate prices in their efforts to buy at a low price and sell at a high price.
Growers are Value investors.
Dhirendra Kumar of Value Research presented a nice "Jungle Fable" in his newsletter of 30-March-20
with a new twist to the story.

Here underlining message is "Benefits of buying Goats against Monkeys"
This reminded my own advice which I used to share with friends in a little different style
but with essentially the same message:
Value Investor: A true investor is a Shepherd - A Cowherd !
A good shepherd maintains a nice cowshed, accommodating the best breed of healthy milking cows.
The cows give good amount of milk, also give birth to calves every now and then,
thus propagating the generations of milk producing cattle.
Now just consider this:
Does the shepherd ever worry about the daily fluctuating market price on the Cattle Trading Platform? No.
Does he monitor or keep a log of daily price movement of the cows sold on market place? No.
He is happy with the milk he gets, and rather more interested in monitoring the health of his cows.
He keeps a watch on good cows available in market place at bargain
and adds few more to his fleet whenever he has some surplus money on hand!
That's it!
Be a shepherd. Not a cattle trader!
The trader makes a few bucks if pricing go right, but real milk goes to the shepherd only!
